Academy of Animated Art RedShift Workshop Information
Academy of Animated Art RedShift Workshop is designed to provide a comprehensive guide to Redshift, the world’s first fully GPU-accelerated renderer.
A complete guide to the groundbreaking new GPU Renderer, Redshift. Course conducted by Dreamworks Lighting Artist Shane Sternstein
Built to meet the specific demands of contemporary high-end production rendering, Redshift is the world’s first fully GPU-accelerated renderer. It comes with a full suite of powerful features that integrate seamlessly with industry-standard CG applications including Autodesk MAYA, Houdini 3D animation tools, and Katana. Mastering the ins & outs of Redshift will set your portfolio apart from the competition.
The Academy of Animated Art has teamed up with Dreamworks Lighting Artist Shane Sternstein for this comprehensive Redshift workshop. Shane received his BSA degree in Media Arts and Animation from the Art Institute of Los Angeles. Shane got his start in the advertising industry where he worked with global corporations such as Activision, Disney, EA, Western Digital, and the NFL Network.
Apart from earning his degree in Media Arts, Shane is also an AAA alum. Today, Shane is a part of the DreamWorks Animation production. His film credits include Abominable (2019), How to Train Your Dragon 3 (2018 Consumer Products), and Trolls World Tour (2019).
This workshop outlines all the important information, techniques, and tricks to maximize the Redshift renderer to its fullest. In this online course, Shane Sternstein covers everything from the fundamentals of Redshift and basic controls to the technical AOVs, system settings, and Global Illumination.
Apart from demos and lectures, you will also receive a modeled and shaded set by Shane, which is based on the concept art of Mike Redman. This workshop can be combined with other AAA lighting courses for a better understanding of using Redshift for any creative production quickly and efficiently.
