Paddock Focus Episode 5 – Night Photography Information
Photographing racing cars at night can produce spectacular pictures, however it also presents a unique set of photography challenges. Jamey and Drew are two of endurance racing’s most experienced photographers and will share with you all their knowledge of how to take unique pictures once the sun goes down.
In this tutorial we talk about what lenses and what camera settings we use for different night time scenarios, look at ISO, focus modes, as well as covering the practicalities such as how we choose where to shoot at night and much much more. The episode is just over three hours in length.
While this workshop is aimed at motorsport events running at night, as always, ALL of the lessons are applicable to any photography subject you can cover at night, from weddings, fireworks and evening sporting events.
