LinkedIn for Designers 2.0 Information
Most designers don’t know how to use social media to its full potential.
I was one of them. I would:
👀 Ogle at design eye-candy on Instagram
❤️ Scroll and like passively
🥴 Get distracted by random memes while scrolling
🤐 Never post anything
But then I realized something:
In the internet age, getting people to know, like, and trust you via social media is the most powerful form of leverage for a designer.
Building an audience on social media can lead to new job opportunities, new clients, speaking opportunities, and a deeper connection with the professional design community. And there is no better place to do that than on LinkedIn.
Over the past year I’ve:
- Grown from 0 to 12,666 followers on LinkedIn
- Created content that gathered 4.2 million impressions and almost 50,000 engagements
- Gained new clients
- Reconnected with old ones (leading to…more new clients)
- Connected with top professionals that I’d only admired from afar before
- Been invited to speak at the leading professional conference for my industry, podcasts, universities, and even a global Fortune 500 company
All from spending less than an hour a day growing my LinkedIn audience.
In this 60-minute video course, I’ll show you the strategies I used to do all this and how you can do it too. Growing my presence on LinkedIn has been the best thing I’ve done for my design career, and I encourage you to do the same.
Here’s what you’ll learn:
- Why LinkedIn is the best social platform for designers to focus on (vs. Instagram or Twitter or others)
- How to clarify your own approach to social media as a designer
- How to optimize your profile based on your goals
- An easy and actionable strategy for connecting with people on LinkedIn
- The anatomy of a good LinkedIn post
- 10 actionable strategies to create endless design content for LinkedIn
- Common mistakes and stumbling blocks (and how to get around them)
Who is this course for?
This course is for designers who want to expand their professional presence on LinkedIn and are new to social media as a way to market themselves. The strategies I’ll share can be applied at any stage of your career.
