Futuristic User Interfaces for Movies and Games InformationLearn to design, render, and animate a detailed fictional universe for films or video games using Illustrator and After Effects.
FUIs are fictional user interfaces, which can encompass fantasy or futuristic aesthetics, and are typically created for video games or films. Whether it’s creating an immersive world for a sci-fi film, or designing the universe for a video game, Ernex has created FUIs for productions like Star Wars, Avengers, Call of Duty, and Valorant.
In this online course, Ernex explains his process for creating a fictional user interface, from the brief to the last render. Take a deep dive into the ideation, design, and animation of your very own FUI, and build your portfolio along the way.

Anyone interested in the process behind all the futuristic computer interfaces that we see in movies and video games.
I’m a freelance director and motion graphics designer, born in Madrid, trained in London, and currently location independent, working remotely from any tropical island with a good Internet connection.
I’ve been in the motion graphics business for almost 20 years, many of them as a freelance, in charge of all kinds of projects for national and international clients, from movies to videogames, series, commercials, and TV shows.
Throughout my career I’ve sticked my finger in every pie, but eventually I managed to focus exclusively on the field of motion graphics, design and animation, especially something called FUI (Fantasy User Interface); A.K.A. Screen Design for movies and video games.
I have been lucky enough to work with some of the best motion studios in the world, on movies like Avengers, Star Wars, Spectre or Kingsman and video games like NBA 2K, Call of Duty, or Need for Speed.
